She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Samuel J. Pilotti. Mary Ann was born in Brooklyn, N.Y, the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Monastero.
She attended Claymont High School in Delaware and Goldey Beacom University where she received a certificate in Accounting and Auditing. Mary Ann is also a graduate of the American Institute of Banking specializing in trusts and estates. She was employed by Bank of Delaware as editor of employee publications before her marriage.
When her husband, Sam, opened Metric Realty, Paoli, in 1973, Mary Ann acquired her Real Estate License and worked with him. In addition to selling real estate, she became the corporate secretary and treasurer.
Mary Ann loved working with children. She was a twenty year classroom volunteer for the Tredyffrin-Easttown School District, organized and supervised the TE Teachers' Center, served on the PTO, led a Girl Scout troop, and taught CCD at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years.
Mary Ann and her husband were avid gardeners and also enjoyed traveling. With their children, they traveled by motorhome through 42 states, Canada and Spain. She and her husband, Sam, also traveled extensively through Italy and France.
She is a member of the Paoli Berwyn Malvern Lions Club.
Her Christian faith, her family and her service to others were the most important things in her life. She is survived by her five children, Debbie Pilotti, Lorraine Masciangelo (Al), Sandy Gibbons (John), Lisa Campbell (Terry), and David Pilotti. She has 10 grandchildren; Matthew Boch (Becky), Alan Masciangelo (Samantha), Julie Masciangelo, Marielle Gibbons DeStefano (Adam), Alexa Gibbons, Joshua Campbell (Emily), Kelsey Campbell(Derek), Marissa Campbell Huberty (Trevor), Nicholas Pilotti, and Gianna Pilotti.
She also has three great granddaughters, Olivia Boch, Ellie Masciangelo, and Maya DeStefano. She is survived by her sister, Diane Anderson (Bill) of Raleigh, North Carolina, and her brother, Sal Monastero of Berwyn.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 332 Manor Ave, Downingtown, PA on October 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
Burial will be at St. Agnes Cemetery, Route 100, West Chester, Pennsylvania.
A visitation will be held before Mass from 10:00-11:00 AM.
Memorial donations may be made to the Paoli Hospital Foundation or the Paoli-Berwyn-Malvern Lions Club.
