Mark W. McCanney

Mark McCanney, born in Philadelphia, PA on January 7, 1964, was the husband of Kathleen (Dougherty) McCanney. He is the son of Annette (Richards) McCanney and the late James E. Sr. He is predeceased by his brother, David McCanney.

Mark was a graduate of Haverford High School in Havertown, PA in 1981. He received his B.S. from Saint Joseph’s University in 1985 and received his MBA from Saint Joseph’s University in 1989.

After graduating from Saint Joseph’s University, Mark worked in finance before he entered the family business McCanney & Associates.

Mark was adored by all his family and friends. He would do anything for anyone without any hesitation. Mark enjoyed coaching his daughters for many years and became friends with so many of the other parents. He loved traveling, golfing, and skiing with friends and family, but most importantly, Mark loved spending time with his wife and girls.

Mark is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kathleen McCanney, and two children: Margaret Martin and her husband Samuel Martin and Elizabeth McCanney and her fiancé Steven Rothermel. He is survived by his brother, James McCanney Jr (Mary). Also survived by brother-in-laws Gerald Dougherty (Fiona), Kevin Dougherty (Georgianna), James Dougherty (Nancy), Patty Lutzvitch (John), and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation, Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Norbert's Church at 50 Leopard Road, Paoli, PA 19301, and to this funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at the same location.
