Eric, born July 8, 1957 in Philadelphia, PA to Eric A. and Lucinda F. Corkhill, grew up in Berwyn, PA where he attended The Haverford School (Class of 1975), and later earned his degree from the University of Virginia (Class of 1980).
Eric had a distinguished business career spanning over 40 years as a Healthcare and MedTech executive. Most recently, he served proudly as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Neuralert Technologies, a company creating a life-saving stroke detection device. The device was recognized as one of the best inventions of 2022 by Time magazine, and Eric was recognized as 2023 CEO of the Year by PCI Ventures.
Outside of work, Eric was a dedicated member of the community. He served as a Trophy Chairman for the Devon Horse Show & Country Fair and as Club President of Radnor Hunt. Eric was also an avid golfer, gardener, hunter, and traveler, and faithful Philadelphia Eagles season ticket holder for many years.
Above all, Eric was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Helen Corkhill, and a proud father to his daughters, Katherine Barthelmeh (Brandon) and Emily Corkhill (Joe Shapiro). He cherished his role as a grandfather to Audrey and Graham and shared a special bond with his sister, Cindy Dautrich, as well as his niece and nephew, Cinda Johnson and Chris Dautrich.
Eric will be remembered for his generosity, his boundless energy, and his unwavering love for his family, friends, and community. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4th at Paoli Presbyterian Church (225 S. Valley Rd, Paoli, PA).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in remembrance of Eric can be made to the 1883 Foundation, an organization dedicated to preserving the cultural heritage and traditions of Radnor Hunt, a cause dear to his heart.
