Chloe Madeleine Randolph, the beloved daughter of Drs. Frederick Randolph and Nancy Vinca, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, August 27th, 2023, after a valiant and courageous struggle with mental health and depression. She was surrounded by the unwavering love and support of her family, which included her devoted parents, her beloved sisters Lillian and Anai, and her loving grandparents, Ann and Thomas Vinca and Diana and Dr. Frederick W. Randolph. Also, Chloe was fortunate to be constantly surrounded by friends who showed her steadfast love and companionship. Chloe's illness and her brave battle against it illuminated the strength and resilience that defined her. We are so grateful to the wide community of friends, family, and in particular, health professionals who cared for her throughout her illness with compassion and noted expertise (including CHOP, the entire OPAL team, K House at Silver Hill Hospital, Dr. Starner, and The Episcopal Academy team, particularly Dr. Lily Hall).
Chloe graced this world on January 8th, 2009, and from the moment she arrived, she radiated beauty and courage. Her independent and strong-spirited nature shone brightly throughout her life. Chloe was not only a highly skilled artist but also a beloved daughter, friend, and sister to Lillian and Anai. Her heart overflowed with love for animals, especially the family dog, "Buddy." Chloe's loved to spend time by the sea with her sisters and she loved to travel. She had a deep affection for romance novels and viewed the world through a unique and enchanting lens, displaying kindness, genuine honesty, and compassion that touched everyone she met.
Chloe's early years were marked by her unwavering determination, as she wore an eye patch daily for an entire year due to amblyopia. Thanks to her relentless tenacity and meticulous attention to detail, she triumphed over her challenge, regaining full vision in her affected eye. When she set her mind to a task, there was no stopping her. She would approach projects in an extremely organized manner and complete them with unparalleled efficiency. She pursued her goals with unwavering determination and a resolute strength of character. Her magnetic personality and strength of character led to countless meaningful friendships throughout her brief life. Her closest friends, including Marietta, Faith, and Hannah, among so many others, hold a special place in our hearts as we grieve.
Chloe's love extended to her numerous relatives, uncles, aunts, and cousins, whom she cherished deeply. Every memory of Chloe is a priceless treasure, and we will hold them close in our hearts until the day we are reunited with her in the embrace of God in Heaven. Chloe's legacy is one of enduring love, strength, and the profound impact she had on all who were fortunate to know her. In her brief time here on earth, she loved deeply, she was loved deeply, and she taught us all so very much.
