I love you so much grandmother!!!! I miss you!

I miss you so much. As I was going for a walk today, I said to myself “i’m about to call Grandmother.” Then I realized you are gone. I liked calling you when I went on a walk and we talked about everything on our minds. You were so hilarious. I love you girl!

Giving honor to God. I just want to share a few wonderful memories of my dear mother-in-law.

I have known mother Freeman for over 45 years, and over those 45 years a special bond was formed between us. We had a great understanding, respect and love for one another in our own special way. 
I truly miss spending time with mother freeman on birthdays, Mother’s Day and holidays. 
During those holiday moments , I remember her smile, laughter, and her delicious cooking. As far as dressing Vogue had nothing on Mrs. Freeman. She was classy and elegant all at the same time.  Most of all I loved to see Mother Freeman dance at our family events. She could shimmy and shake a tail feather like no other .Mother Freeman memories will always be a source of strength and inspiration to me. I have been blessed to have a second family member in my life to make the golden age of 97. One of my fondest memories is going to His Lordship for Mother’s Day with my family and Mother Freeman.  She always looked forward to our annual Mother’s Day celebrations. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends.

 Family visits on Sunday after church were special. Our kids would enjoy visiting their grandmother because she would have lots of toys for them to play with and she would give them peppermint candy. Mother Freeman was so mindful she would cook if she knew we were going back to Church that evening. Mother Freeman lived on this earth for 97 years and left a beautiful legacy of love and perseverance. Family please hold on to all the happy memories, she has touched many of our lives. When I think of Mother Freeman, I think of excellence, according to Philippians 4 and 8. Finally, my brothers and sisters always think about what is true. Think about what is noble, right and pure. Think about what is lovely and worthy of respect. If anything is excellent or worthy of praise, think about those kinds of things .

I have many memories of Ms Lillian... As a young girl I would often see her pouncing elegantly as she walked by in her high hills. She always took the time to engage with me from a child into my adulthood. She will be Greatly missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Lillian about 30 years ago when she was working in a Laundromat in Oakland.  She was so friendly, sweet and nice, she always had funny stories to tell,  we also shared the same name.  I remember she trying to teach me how to fold the fitted sheets like a pro, well I was never able to do it as perfect as she did,  so she ended up doing them for me all the time  🙂
When I moved away, I did miss seen and conversing with her on laundry days. 
   After many years, I met this person at work and we became good friends, one day we went out after work, she started telling me that her grandma was having a birthday soon, she took out her phone and showed me a photo of her grandma, I could not believe it, it was Lillian, same sweet face I always remembered,  Kelly and I  were amazed by the fact I had met her Grandma 3 decades ago.
 Lillian,  you will be missed so much.  RIP.

We will miss Ms. Lilian on Blake Street! She will always be remembered by her neighbors and friends on the block. Rest in Peace, Ms, Lilian. Thank you for always gracing us with your presence.

Though it had been years since I had seen MS Lillian, I always loved her attitude. Ms Lillian was always, always dressed to the nines, never a hair out of place.  Every day she went to work, dressed beautifully. She took pride in what she did.  She lived her life the way she wanted to.   
Thank you Ms Lillian for putting a bit of sparkle in my life.  God bless you all who are missing Ms Lillian. God bless Ms Lillian.
