Carol Todino Whitehead, 85, passed away from complications from Covid-19 on January 18, 2021. She was born on July 14, 1935 to parents Joseph and Alice Todino in Garfield, New Jersey. After graduation from Fairleigh Dickenson University, she worked as a dedicated teacher for the New Jersey school system in Garfield for more than 35 years.
Carol loved teaching and was delighted to hear from many former students later in life. She and her partner of more than 30 years, Roger, loved spending their summers at their home on Cape Cod. After Roger’s death, Carol purchased a home in Oldsmar, FL and was thrilled to spend time with her family, especially her grandsons. For the past 10 years she was a resident at Harbor Chase Assisted Living but was seen all over Pinellas County in her motorized wheelchair visiting the library, attending theater productions, eating out at local restaurants and having her hair done. Carol never met a stranger and loved making new friends wherever she went.
She leaves behind son Keith (Susan) of Dunedin, FL, son Glenn (Andie) of St Augustine, FL as well as grandsons Dylan, Ryan and Kevin. She is also survived by her younger brother Joel and wife Lynn of Rome, GA. No service will be held.
