Mark, the rare native Floridian, graduated from Miami Senior High School and the University of Miami. He received his Master's Degree from Florida Atlantic University. Mark was a Middle School Science Teacher for 40 years. He started his career at Miami Springs Middle School in 1967. He married Susanne and they moved to Rutland, Vermont, where he taught at Rutland Middle School for 12 years. In 1983, they moved back to south Florida and Mark began teaching at Crestwood Middle School in Royal Palm Beach, Florida where he became a beloved fixture of the school until he retired in 2006. He spent his retirement traveling to Japan and cruising throughout Europe and caring for his beloved dogs.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Susanne Joy Beyer (nee Bender); his son Jonathan Beyer and wife Yoko; his sister Barbara Gross; his granddaughters, Chloe Beyer and Amelie Beyer.
Funeral Services and Burial for Mark will be held 12;00pm, Thursday, May 25, 2023 at IJ Morris at Star of David of the Palm Beaches, 9321 Memorial Park Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33412.
