Donald and I were friends for over 75 years. A true friendship. Nothiing but great memories. Truly a gem - never a bad word from his mouth. Truly cared about others - friends, associates and employes.

Helped me when I needed the help. Helped others when needed.

Great business man and employer - he knew all his employees (500) names and families and was there for all.

We miss you Don!!

Dad, I’m left with good thoughts & memories. You were always so thoughtful & nice to everyone. Running errands with you or jus sitting while you did crossword puzzle’s was always nice. You made a delicious Sunday breakfast & I still don’t like eggs. Love, Tammy

I have many fond memories of Don.
He was a good man with a big heart.

One particular memory was his determination to golf with me and his good friend Stan. No matter his ailments, he could always brighten my day with his comments and laughter at my golf swing.  Always smiling and enjoying the day, no matter what it brought.

He will be missed and remembered as one of the good ones.

Don Owens truly embodies what it means to be a Tzadik — a righteous man.



He came from incredibly humble beginnings, yet through sheer will and determination, he became a self-educated man with a mind sharper than most. He knew more about grammar than many English professors — not because he had to, but because he loved learning and held himself to high standards.



In business, Don had a guiding principle: “Charge fair rates, and deliver great service.” He lived by those words, and so did I. That wisdom carried me through my own business journey. While many of his competitors came and went, Don stayed the course. He understood that slow and steady wins the race — and he won, with grace and integrity.



His chesed — his kindness — was woven into everything he did. His love for his son, Scott, was deep and unwavering. I’ll never forget hearing how, when Scott was a newborn and couldn’t sleep, Don would sit up rocking him gently in a chair until he drifted off. That quiet, patient love defined him.



Don was gentle. He was kind to everyone he met. He had a soul that couldn’t — and wouldn’t — hurt a fly. He lived with humility, but his impact was mighty.



Don, you are now safe in heaven, reunited with your beloved mother and father. Thank you for all the beautiful moments you gave me. You will be missed terribly, but your memory will live on in the lives you touched.
