Diane J. Sherman 69 died peacefully Friday, May 17, 2013 after a two year struggle with cancer. Born to Rose and Philip Julius on October 22, 1943 at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, she was a devoted wife and mother. Diane lived her entire life in Florida. She was a graduate of Palm Beach High School and the University of Florida. Following graduation, she moved to Miami where she taught underprivileged students in the Miami-Dade school system for ten years before returning to West Palm Beach with her husband Peter whom she married on January 9, 1971. Diane will be missed for her pragmatic, cheerful, and genuine personality. She is survived by her husband Peter, son Darren of New York City, and son Justin and his wife Andrea of San Francisco. Additionally, she will be remembered fondly by her brother-in-law Kenneth, his wife Meryl of New York City and her nieces Samantha, Melissa, and Alison, nephew Benjamin, brother Dr. Richard Julius and wife Gloria of St. Petersburg along with numerous cousins from the Sherman, Dardashtian, and Rosenberg families. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Diane Sherman may be made to the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County to benefit Jewish Education or Hospice of Palm Beach County. The Sherman Family will be receiving guests at their home through Wednesday, May 22nd from 5 to 9pm. Funeral Services were held Sunday, May 19th.
