He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on February 28th, 1954. HIs family moved to Cocoa Florida in 1967. He attended Cocoa High School and graduated in 1973. While in High School he played football, was on the wrestling team and was the Cape Conference champ. He was in the JROTC program which was the start of his Army career. He graduated from Georgia Military College in Millidgeville, Georgia and joined the Army in 1976. During his time he did two tours in Germany, is a Desert Storm veteran. He retired in 1995 after 20 years of military service.
He was a life member of the VFW Post 4206. His life long passion was his bowling along with supporting his teammates both friends and family. He was a member of the Augusta Bowling Association Board of Directors in Augusta Georgia.
He is preceded in death by his parents Steve and Myrtle Franko, and one sister.
He is survived by his two sons, Brian Lee and James Patrick Franko, a granddaughter Serenity Franko and his companion of 10 years Aggie Carlson-Chiarillo, four sisters, Karen (Frank) Turner, his twin, Patricia (David - deceased) Wunder, Stephanie (David) Rose, Linda (Paul) Keller, one brother Steve (Kim) Franko, many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews and many friends.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
