Son of Italian immigrants, Mike "Cap" Capito was born in Warren, Ohio on September 11th 1934. He came down to Florida at 17 and liked it so much it became his adopted home state. A Vietnam veteran, Cap was a retired U. S. Air Force Master Sergeant who served his country for 21 years. Aside from Vietnam, his service took him to France, The Philippines and Thailand, as well as Washington state twice, Massachusetts, Texas and Mississippi. After retiring from the Air Force, Cap worked for Harris Semiconductor for 19 years.
Cap was an avid Amateur Radio operator for much of his life with the call sign WB4POL. He also loved dachshunds; getting his first one in France in the early 60's. He was a patriotic American who supported a number of organizations that promoted American history and values.
Cap passed on March 29th, 2023. He is survived by his son, Kenneth, a loving extended family in Florida and Ohio and his dachshund Koko 2.
