Higinio Alicea, 92, of Palm Bay, died Saturday (4/12) at the West Volusia Care Center in Orange City. A native of Puerto Rico, Higinio first moved to New York where he worked for the New York City Housing Authority until his retirement. Following retirement he then went back to Puerto Rico before coming to the Palm Bay area 22 years ago. Higinio was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and a US Army veteran of WW II. He enjoyed gardening and always said that gardening was peaceful for him. He also spent much of his spare time working on cars.
Survivors include his sons: Sergio (Ana) Pacheco of Deltona, Melvyn Pacheco of New York City, NY, one granddaughter: Tiffany Pacheco.
