Ernest Dupont was born July 12, 1924 to Philias and Clorinda Dupont. He married his late wife Rita Auchu (9/23/2012) on September 4, 1954. They had a daughter, Denise Dupont Watson.
He and his wife owned a restaurant on Lake Champlain and a RV park called Denise Tent and Trailer Park. Ernest also worked and retired from the Airforce Base in St. Albans, Vermont. He worked in their heating room on the base as a civilian. Ernest and his wife retired to Florida in 1982.
He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family. Ernest had 2 grandchildren, Nicole Watson and Daniel Watson (Kelly Watson). He also had 6 great-grandchildren: Deven Searles, Derek Searles, Nathan Searles, Kai Searles, Greyson Watson, and Colton McConnell.
A memorial mass will be held in Swanton, Vermont on Friday June 8th at 11:30 am at Church of the Nativity, 65 Canada Street, Swanton, Vermont 05488.
