Christine R. Sanders, 49, of Barefoot Bay, died Friday, 12/6, at a local hospital. A native of Rockville Centre, New York, she came to the area 18 years ago from New York. Christine attended St. Luke Catholic Church in Barefoot Bay and had been a member of the Moose Club. Having a strong affection for animals, she worked for H.A.L.O. Animal Shelter and worked to save the life of abandoned pets. She was known to have a wonderful and contagious smile and laughter. All who knew her, knew her to be a wonderful and loving wife, sister, daughter-in-law, aunt, and friend.
Survivors include her husband: Michael; one brother: Danny Hoffman of East Meadow, NY; two sisters: Ginger Garringer of Boston, MA, Jennifer Paino of Longwood, FL and many nieces and nephews who were all like her own.
