Betty J. Simpkins of Malabar, Florida passed away on August 11, 2016 at the age of 87. She was born on September 22, 1928 in Camden, New Jersey. Betty worked as an Executive Secretary for Mercy Hospital in Port Huron, Michigan and the Detroit Symphony. Her life centered around raising her four daughters, music, and the church. She sang in the church choir and worked for a time as a church secretary. Most recently she was a member of the Palm Bay United Methodist Church.
Betty is survived by her husband, Webley J. Simpkins of Malabar, Florida; sister Elsie Hunsinger of Runamede, New Jersey; daughter Susan Watkins of Howell, Michigan; daughter Karen Lorenzini of Palm Bay, Florida; daughter Diana Anderson of Harbor Spring, Michigan; eight grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Agnes Gooch.
