Sergio M. Santana passed away from respiratory failure at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek on August 16, 2012. Born in Newport News, Virginia, he has lived locally since the age of six.
A Registered Nurse, Sergio has worked at several medical facilities during his twenty-eight year career including Carmel Convalescent Hospital, Pacific Coast Manor in Capitola, Carmel Valley Manor, COR Home Health Care, MAXIM Health Care as well as Hospice.
Our beloved son, brother and uncle is survived by his mother, Gloria Santana; his sisters, Rose Santana and Olga (Steven) Wells; his nephews, Forest Wells and Gabriel Santana; his niece, Mikaela Wells; his fiancé, Marina Mangandy; his cousins in Los Angeles and his best friend, John Kyzivat.
Visitation will take place at The Paul Mortuary Chapel next Tuesday, August 28 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be at the mortuary on Wednesday, August 29 at 1:00 followed by at San Carlos Cemetery.
