Gabriel Santana was born September 7, 2000 at Community Hospital in Monterey. Gabriel translated from Hebrew literally means "God is my strength". This is a beautiful reflection and testament to his life. Those who shared conversations with Gabriel, instantly had revelations of how deeply rooted his thinking was and that he truly meditated on Christ day and night.
For those that truly knew Gabriel, we know he was dealt a rough hand in life. Since the womb, he was sculpted to be a warrior, partaking in the physical and spiritual war that transpires within this fallen world. In a generation that is weak and prideful, Gabriel set himself apart, standing strong and stoic. Even if this meant him being alone at times, he kept love in his heart as a young man who knew Christ should. For he knew the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Gabriel passed on January 4, 2023. He is survived by his grandmothers, Gloria Santana and Kora Sambrano; his father, David Santana, and stepmother, Glenda Santana; his mother, Virginia Jones; his half-brother, Dominico Fernandez; his uncle, Irvin Hawkeswood; his aunt, Rosa Santana; the Wells family; the Collins family; the Solorio family. He will also be remembered through the legacy of John and Levi Dentice, Johnathon Anderson, Dylan Anderson, Brandon Anderson, and Jasmine Flanigan.
