Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 25, 2014, from the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with the Reverends B.K. Marshall and S.C. Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Friday, January 24 at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Wiregrass Food Bank.
Nancy was born July 13, 1922, to Will and Daisy Reynolds McLeod in Ozark. She was an active member of Greater Sardis Missionary Baptist Church and was on many auxillaries. Nancy did extensive traveling and attended The National Baptist Convention and Baptist Congress, until she became ill. Her passion included cooking and experimenting with new recipes and a love for family.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Seals; three sisters, Annie Kirby, Daisy Crawford and Sylvia Clark; her brother, James McLeod.
She is survived by her son, George Seals (Burnell) of Dothan; her grandson, George Christopher Seals of North Hollywood, CA; a sister, Gussie Jackson of Detroit, MI; a brother, George McLeod of Montgomery, AL; also surviving are a host of other relatives, friends and a special friend, Christine Grant.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Westside Terrace and staff, Dr. Reid, Dr. Bedsole, Flowers Hospital Emergency Department and the fourth and sixth floor staff.
