Ella May Smith

Ella May Michler Smith passed away on November 11, 2017.

Ella was born in Ventura, CA on May 6, 1936. She was a resident of Ventura County for most of her life. She graduated from Simi High School. Ella was employed in the family driving school business. For over 25 years she owned/operated Sears Driving School. When she was not working she enjoyed cooking, travelling, bowling and line dancing. She was a member of Women of the Moose and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie.

Ella is survived by her loving grandchildren Julie Spicer, Joseph Spicer and James Spicer; great-granddaughters Juliet and Faithlynne Spicer; sister Betty Parks; special niece Terri McDonald; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband's Loren B. Michler and Jim E. Smith, her daughter Denice Spicer and son Greg Michler.

A celebration of life will be held at Del Angel (Conrad-Reardon), 401 W. Channel Islands Blvd., Oxnard, CA 93033 at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 16, 2017. Visitation with the family will start at 10:00 am on Thursday, no viewing. A reception will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 4684 Saviers Road, Oxnard at 3:00 pm.
