Carmen R Guevara of Port Hueneme, Calif., passed away April 27, 2013, at the age of 91. Mrs. Guevara was born on June 10, 1921, and was a lifetime resident of Ventura County. She was a Quality Assurance Inspector at Stokley's for many years. She is survived by her son, Tomas Morales of Oakland; daughter, Lucinda Naboa of Fredericksburg, Va.; brother, Tony Razo of Camarillo; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous friends and family. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Guevara; son, Richard (Dickie) Morales; sister, Rose Razo; and parents, Cayetano and Guadalupe Razo.
"Ma Carm" as she was known by many and her husband "Pa Chuck" traveled to all 50 states and loved to travel to other countries. She loved to watch the Dodgers and the Lakers. While at home, her favorite entertainment was watching westerns. She loved those cowboy movies.
Viewing will be on Wednesday, May 8, from 4 to 9 p.m., with Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at the Funeraria Del Angel Conrad & James Reardon, Oxnard. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 9, 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, Oxnard, Calif. "Ma Carm" will be laid to rest at Santa Clara Cemetery.
