Sandra Carol Murphy, 70, of Winter Springs, Florida, passed away on August 6, 2018. She was born in Queens, New York, on April 6, 1948. She was raised in South Florida where she met the love of her life, Richard, whom she shared over 49 years of marriage with. She was a graduate of Barry University and spent 25 years employed in various roles in the cruise line industry. She spent her later years in Winter Springs, dedicated to her children and grand children. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. Her family was her purpose in life and no sacrifice was too great to ensure that everyone she loved was taken care of. After the death of her daughter from a rare cancer, her passion turned to raising awareness and funds for the Amandalee Fund through the annual MOving Forward Golf Classic. She will be remembered for her positivity, generosity, quick wit, and her artistic creativity. She had a love of nature and the outdoors, and was an excellent cook and baker whose talents will be missed. She is survived by her husband Richard L. Murphy, sons Richard R. Murphy and Jack Murphy, sister Janet Mackay, brother John Ramsey, grandchildren, Nikolas and Sean Perez, Brittany and Ashley Murphy, Kristen, Amanda, Alyssa and Zoey Murphy and Keegan Ford, and great grandchildren Sebastian and Riley Van. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Adele Ramsey, brother Steven Ramsey and her daughter Maureen Perez. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
