Paul is lovingly survived by his parents; his wife, Kim Hines; his children, Patrick, Camille, and Tim; his sister, Sharon Veres; and his first grandchild due in November. He is also survived by a wide-reaching and large extension of family and friends from all over. Paul was born August 27, 1959, in Toronto, Canada to Aubrey and Stella Hines. He and Kim were married a month shy of 39 years. He retired after 32 years with Publix. Loyal, faithful, and hardworking in marriage, job, and life.
His lifestyle and passion for sailing, nature, plants, and saltwater aquariums all describe that nearness to water that brought him joy. He sailed as captain on many trips; enjoyed live music, festivals, and concerts; socialized with many friends and enjoyed evenings together with neighbors. Paul was loved and known for living life to the fullest; his vast intelligence and knowledge on a variety of topics; and his tall and strong stature, lingering spirit, and cherished presence. He was compassionately involved in civic, community and educational endeavors, and lovingly called to benevolent local and global missional work that honored his Lord and Savior.
Paul, knowing the uncertainty of this life and with full confidence and trust in God is continuing to enjoy God’s peaceful streams and quiet waters. A Celebration of Paul’s life will be held at 2 pm, on Friday, July 16, 2021, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Oviedo, FL.
