Helen Mogavero, 98, passed away on Jan. 24, 2020; she was born in June of 1921 to Howard and Gertrude Chichester, in Mt. Morris, New York. In 1938 she married Salvatore Mogavero and they had 3 children, Marie, Frank and Mark. While her husband served in WWII, she supported the war effort by working at General Motors building Aircraft engines and later working at Curtis Wright assembling aircraft. After the war, she became a full time homemaker. When her children had moved on, she went back to school and became a therapist working at Buffalo State Hospital. In 1975, she and her husband moved to Grand Island, Florida, and when he passed away, she moved to Palm Valley. Her joys were her children, and writing poetry. Helen is survived by her children, Marie Buffomante and Frank Mogavero; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She was pre deceased by her husband, Salvatore and son Mark.
