Angie was born in West Bangor, PA and graduated from Pen Argyl High School.
Love and Marriage:
On September 25, 1976, Angie married Phil Fox, in Campbell, CA.
At the time, Angie had 2 children: Eddie and Jamie and Phil had 4 children: Debbie, Denise, Dawn, and David. All of the kids gained either a Bonus Mom or a Bonus Dad; all of the kids gained Bonus siblings. Angie and family were blessed to have each other, and to have each other for so long. When she died, she had 3 children in their early 60’s and another 3 in the 50’s. May all families be as blessed.
Angie and Phil lived in Campbell, CA until October 1978 when they moved to Santa Maria, CA after Phil accepted a new job. In 1985, they moved for work, one more time, when Phil was transferred to FL.
Angie and Phil spent the last 30+ years of her life in their final home where they both loved to entertain. They had seating for 55 on the patio and could host 21 for a sit down dinner. She/they enjoyed hosting the Fox annual Christmas fellowship social event.
Church Life:
Angie was a “Cradle Episcopalian” and was baptized on August 20, 1933 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Wind Gap, Pennsylvania.
In Santa Maria, their church home was St. Peter’s Episcopal.
Angie’s final church home is St. Richard’s Episcopal in Winter Park, FL.: She served with the vestry, sang in the choir, wrote “Angie’s Corner” for the church newsletter, and served in the St. Margaret’s Guild to provide caring outreach services to those in need.
Career:
Early in life, Angie worked as a Dental Assistant in New Jersey. After moving to California, she went back to school and graduated from Lawton School for Dental Assistants, in Palo Alto on 2/24/1978. She enjoyed her career and worked for:
• Dr. Abraham Samansky DDS in Cranford, NJ
• Dr. Thomas Puzin DDS. in Santa Clara, CA
Throughout the years, Angie and both dentists remained in continuous contact. Employment ended; Friendship remained.
Angie was passionate about a lot:
• Her Faith
• Family / Friends / Relationships
• Christmas and Easter, which as Angie, said, “You can’t have Easter without Christmas”
• The San Francisco 49ers
• Traveling
• Dancing and Entertaining
• Decorating – especially at Christmas
• Her Poodles, the most recent of which were Gigi and Coquette. On 6/18/19, we found the following 1/20/2000 note in Angie’s “Dates to Remember” book: “These two precious poodles will remain alive in our hearts forever. They are with Jesus and St. Francis of Assisi, the guardian Saint of all animals. They will be waiting for us at the rainbow bridge with all of our other pets. “

From the Heart
Obituaries, generally, are about facts and perhaps, are generic and kind of fill in the blank. We started with that and it did not seem to fit. We started over. We needed something that felt more right and more appropriate.
Angie was much more than a “fill in the blank” form could ever imagine. She was about heart and letting that heart shine and be digested and felt, sometimes for a lifetime, by others. Her actions led the way.
On an annual basis, she baked at least 18 Pistachio Bundt Cakes and delivered them to people she loved and appreciated. She took them to Olga- her hairdresser of 20+ years; to the Bruno’s (neighbors); Dentist; Primary Care Physician; Cardiologist; Oncologist; Audiologist; Eye Doctor; Pharmacist; Lockheed Martin; and many others.
During the last few months of life, Angie and family were graced with almost “living room” type visits with her Doctors. Her/their St. Richard's Family, as well as many others, enfolded the Fox family with loving arms and provided much compassion through continuous prayers, calls, cards, visits and thoughtful gifts. All Tried to provide us a softer landing, as we moved through our journey. There are no words to express how much it means to have so much loving care during a time of transition and grief. Love for Angie was shining through.
Angie was beautiful, elegant and graceful. Some thought of her as the “hat lady” because of the way she dressed for church, for a wedding, and for other special occasions.
Angie enjoyed being the God Mother for Aidan McConnell; Aidan will be 16 later this year.
Angie took the time to let others know that they were loved.
She remembered birthdays and other special dates including wedding anniversaries and would send cards with beautiful hand written notes. She baked a special cake for Olga to take to her son when Olga would visit him in Puerto Rico.
Many have said that Angie “took them under her wing.” She introduced the area to a newcomer or made someone feel welcomed at a bible study. She wrote to friends family members who were going through a difficult time in life. She provided encouragement, support, and love.
She is chosen family for many who have told us that she was a blessing and a privilege to have as a friend and a special part of their lives.
Angie is very loved and her physical presence will be missed by her large “family” – by blood, marriage, church, and heart-connected friends.
As Angie often said, “may God Bless you and all of yours”
