Rose was born June 12, 1929 in Stanley, Kansas to Mike and Anna (Kopec) Barthol. She grew up on the family farm with her sisters, Sophia and Bernice. Her brother, Edward, passed away before she was born.
After graduating from Stanley High School, Rose went to work for Kansas City Power and Light in downtown Kansas City.
She married Ernest Paul Klusman on September 11, 1954. There were married for 44 years.
Rose was a member of Curé of Ars Catholic Church in Leawood, Kansas for 56 years. She volunteered in the Parish Office and the Bereavement Group. Rose also attended meetings of the Overland Park Historical Society, She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and polka dancing.
Rose is survived by her children, Rozanne Klusman, Madeleine Schulte (Steve), and Brent Klusman (Angela); grandchildren, Joshua (Samantha), Whitney, Chris (Ashley) and Courtney (Trey); and great grandchildren, Harper, Sawyer, Harley, Storm, Kruz, Riott and Jett.
The family will be present to greet friends from 9:30am to 10:30am for the visitation, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Curé of Ars Catholic Church, Leawood, Kansas. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Lenexa, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Curé of Ars Catholic Church or to Aberdeen Village.
