Paul Robert Goddard, 85, Overland Park, KS, passed away July 8, 2011, at Garden Terrace Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 10 am, Friday, July 15, at the McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS 66204. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Kansas City, KS. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Thursday, July 14, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3846 W. 75th St., Prairie Village, KS 66208.
Paul Goddard was born November 18, 1925 in Woodsfield, Ohio. Paul was a graduate of the University of Kansas with a degree in Industrial Management. He was a devoted fisherman and enjoyed fishing trips to Bennett Springs and Canada. He retired from Chevrolet after 35 years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Edna E. Goddard. He is survived by his daughter Melanie Nunnink-Stattelman, husband Steve, Lenexa, KS; two sons: Rob Goddard, and wife, Stephanie, Olathe, KS and Stephen Goddard, Louisburg, KS; four grandchildren: Chris and Kaitlyn Goddard and Luke and Haley Nunnink.
