Frank was raised on a dairy farm in Overland Park, and resided in Johnson County throughout his life. He graduated from Shawnee Mission High School before attending the University of Kansas and William Jewell College. Frank interrupted his college studies to serve with the U.S. Army’s occupying forces in Japan following World War II.
His first jobs were as a milkman and a route salesman at his family’s Country Club Dairy. He later worked in banking, sales and finance. Frank enjoyed playing cards and golf at Indian Hills and Milburn Country Clubs, following Kansas City sports, reading thrillers and histories, spending time with family, and eating local steak and barbecue. He particularly enjoyed his time at his second home in Sarasota where his many friends greatly enhanced his retirement years.
