Dawn was born on May 7th, 1971 in Titusville, FL.
Dawn was the heart of our family. She was always there to lend an ear for family members and her friends.
Dawn always put her family first and supported everything we did in life. She was a caring person with a heart of gold and welcomed everyone with open arms. Dawn loved being at home with her family and fur babies, watching movies and spending time together. Another favorite thing Dawn enjoyed was cooking comfort food for the family every day and she would prepare large meals for the holidays.
Dawn and Ira were married on June 24, 1995 in Chalmette, LA, in a restored plantation home next to a Baby Grand Piano. Dawn loved homes dated in the 1700’s and 1800’s. Dawn attended Hair Tech Beauty School and worked as a Cosmetologist for 7 years. When she moved to Aurora, IL with her husband, Dawn received her degree in early childhood education and loved working with her students. Dawn attended culinary school, where she received her Associate’s degree. Dawn then moved to Olathe, KS and worked at Havencroft Elementary School, where she worked with special need students and this is where her heart was most filled with joy.
Dawn was preceded in death by Bruce Wayne Di Vita (Father).
