Charlie was a General Manager at Charlie's Car Wash having opened several washes in the Kansas City Metro. Prior to this he was a drummer in a bag pipe band, bull rider, rodeo clown and spent many years at Chili's. Along the way, meeting his closest friends. He loved to travel, fast cars, motorcycles, music, The Royals, Chiefs and his two dogs. He was also an avid poster collector. Charlie participated in many charity golf tournaments and volunteered for the Veterans Community Project.
Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Charles Riley; mother, Virginia Riley; and his grandparents.
Charlie is survived by his sister, Lisa Nelson; brother-in-law, Tim Nelson; nephew, Aleks Nelson and his wife, Jennifer; niece, Sara Nelson and her fiancé, Josh Cannon; stepmother, Eddie Riley; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A beloved son, brother, uncle, friend and co-worker. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Charlie's Celebration of Life Party will be held Monday, December 4th from 5-9pm with Tribute & Toast beginning at 6:30pm at Boulevard Brewery, 2501 Southwest Boulevard, Kansas City, Missouri 64108. Please wear your favorite Chiefs, Royals or KU gear.
