Brian R. Shehan

Brian Robert Shehan, age 56, passed away September 4, 2013. Brian is now reunited with loved ones who preceded him in death including his father, Allen M. Shehan; his mother, Bessie M. Eastwood Shehan; six brothers, Gregory Shehan, Dennis Shehan, Mike Shehan, Jimmy Shehan, Steve Shehan, and Larry Shehan. He is survived by eleven brothers and sisters: Pat Shehan, Deanna Sorenson, Jeanne Kirch, Susie (Mary) Bliss, Martha Rieger, Dan Shehan, Paul Shehan, Fulton Shehan, Theresa Mann, Connie Rudolph, and John Shehan. He also leaves his 39 nieces and nephews, 45 great nieces and great nephews, 6 great-great nieces and nephews.

Brian was a generous, compassionate man who deeply loved his family and took a caring interest in all. He was a keen collector of various genres of art and music. Brian was also an avid tennis player, enjoyed playing golf, and he was an accomplished flower gardener. He loved to travel and experience different cultures found throughout the U.S.

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m., Christian service to follow at 3 p.m. at McGilley and Hoge Memorial Chapel at 8024 Santa Fe Dr, Overland Park, KS on Sunday, September 8. A private burial service will be held at St. John’s Cemetery in Lenexa, KS.
