C'est avec une grande tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de Simon Rodolph Charbonneau, survenu le lundi 5 décembre 2022. Il est décédé paisiblement, avec sa fille à ses côtés, à l'âge de 90 ans.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Suzanne Gauthier, sa belle-fille par alliance Josée et ses petits-enfants par alliance Joëlle et Nikolan. Il laisse aussi dans le deuil son fils Daniel, sa bru Shelley et son petit-fils Austin ; sa fille Lynne, son gendre Richard, ses petits-enfants Phillipe, Rikki et son époux Yvon, et ses arrière-petits-enfants Myles, Wesley et Vienna. Il laisse également dans le deuil son frère Gaston et sa belle-sœur Alice, son beau-frère James Cameron et sa belle-sœur Gilberte Charbonneau, ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines et ami(e)s. Il nous accueillait toutes et tous toujours à bras ouverts et nous aimait de tout cœur.
Il fut précédé par ses parents Marcel et Alice Charbonneau, ses frères et sœurs Gertrude Poulin, Simone Lagacé, Jeannine Deslauriers, Ludovic Charbonneau, Evana Cameron, Gaétan Charbonneau et Cécile Dubien; sa première épouse et mère de ses enfants Yolande Charbonneau et son beau-fils par alliance Stéphane Boulanger.
Il nous manquera profondément et il aura toujours une place très spéciale dans nos cœurs et nos pensées.
Les funérailles auront lieu le vendredi 16 décembre à 11 h à l’Église de Saint-Sébastien, 1000 rue Frances, Ottawa. La famille recevra les condoléance de 10h 15.
La famille désire remercier toute l’équipe du foyer de soins de longue durée Centre d’accueil Champlain pour les merveilleux soins qui lui ont été prodigués.
Au lieu de fleurs, un don en sa mémoire à un organisme de votre choix serait très apprécié.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Simon Rodolph Charbonneau on Monday, December 5, 2022. He passed away peacefully at the age of 90, with his daughter at his side.
He is survived by his wife Suzanne Gauthier; stepdaughter Josée, step-grandchildren Joëlle and Nicolan. He also leaves behind his son Daniel, daughter-in-law Shelley and grandson Austin; his daughter Lynne, son-in-law Richard, grandchildren Phillipe, and Rikki, her husband Yvon and his great-grandchildren Myles, Wesley, and Vienna. He is also survived by his brother Gaston Charbonneau and sister-in-law Alice, brother-in-law James Cameron, and sister-in-law Gilberte Charbonneau, as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. He always welcomed us with open arms and loved us all deeply.
Simon was preceded in death by his parents Marcel and Alice Charbonneau; by his siblings Gertrude Poulin; Simone Lagacé, Jeannine Deslauriers, Ludovic Charbonneau, Evana Cameron, Gaétan Charbonneau, and Cécile Dubien; his first wife and mother of his children, Yolande Charbonneau; and his stepson Stéphane Boulanger.
We will miss him terribly and he will always hold a very special place in our hearts and memories.
The funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, at St. Sébastien Church, 1000 Francis St., Ottawa. The family will receive condolences from 10:15 until service time.
The family wished to sincerely thank the team at the Centre d’accueil Champlain long-term care home for the wonderful care that was provided.
