To Lorraine and the entire Stevenson Family
I remember Bob (Senior) and Joyce very well because they were good friends of my father and mother Weldon and Verva Brown (Wakefield Days).  Bob Sr. was my Dad's best man at his wedding.  Before Bob had a car we would drive the whole family to Wakefield to visit our respective families.  It was only after their 4th child arrived, that our times together became less frequent due to limited space in the car.  Our Dads played baseball up on the hill in Wakefield in the early days and we all enjoyed the annual picnics every July on the hill as well.  I want you to know how much I enjoyed the pictures that you shared on this site as they brought back wonderful memories from my childhood.  I want to extend my sincere condolences to the entire Stevenson family.  Linda Brisebois (nee Brown).

My deepest sympathies to Lorraine, Trevor and family.  I worked with Bob for over 20 years and he was a wonderful human being.  No matter how bad the day he still ended with "thanks for coming in".

It was with shock and sadness I heard of Bob's passing.  Last time I saw Bob, he proudly announced that he quit smoking.  I used to nag him about his habit for many years. He has been taken from us far too young.  He will be missed by very many people.  Thinking of you 'buddy'!

I just heard about Bob. My sincere condolences to you Lorraine and to your family. Bob and I worked together for many years, and on a few occasions managed a game of golf. He was a true gentleman and a fine colleague and will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Lorraine and family:  I can't even put into words how I feel after learning of Bob's passing.  It's been over 10 years since I've worked with him, but feels only like yesterday.  Anyone I know, family or friends know about my former colleague Bob.  I have so many fond and fun memories of him.  He was such a kind and caring person. He would call in sick periodically.  The following day, others would offer the usual platitudes like are you feeling better?  I would look at one sunburned hand, one pale,  and ask 'Did you break 90? Norma never caught on.  Bob Stevenson, awesome man, wonderful human being.

I am profoundly saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I considered Bob as one of my closest work friends. Several of us at work would walk with Bob on a daily basis.  We spent most of this time laughing. Bob's sense of humour was incredible. He was always so proud to share pictures of his grandchildren.  A very kind and gentle man. I just found out! I'm really sorry to hear that Bob, a classmate of mine at Rideau High School, has passed away. I remember back at the Odeon St.Laurent Cinemas where Bob, Lorraine and myself worked how both Lorraine and Bob confided in me how they really liked but were too afraid to talk to each other. All the staff knew they desperately wanted to date. It wasn't until I purposely brought them together and told them they wanted to date that they finally started dating...the rest is history. 
Bob was a very nice person whom I respected. He was smart, shy and loved to watch A Clockwork Orange. He was a chess whiz. 
My deepest sympathies to the Stevenson's and the Manion's. A true good person has left the building!

Bob was an active and valued member of the RA Curling Club in Ottawa. I will miss him. My sympathy to his entire family, and in particular to Trevor who continues Bob's legacy of curling.

I first met Bob and Lorraine at the Odeon St. Laurent Cinemas, where we worked as teenagers.  Bob was a quiet individual, but had a terrific sense of humour.  When he laughed, his whole face lit up.  As an usher,  while wearing those silly white gloves that were part of our theatre  uniform, he became quite adept at flipping his flashlight during the quiet times.  Lorraine, my heart goes out to you, your family and friends.

It is with a broken heart that I write this. My dear brother was a sweet quite man but had a great sense of humor and loved to tease. Our family get togethers were so much fun with or bantering back and forth.   We shared a birthday and even though we have not celebrated for a few years together my birthdays will never be the same.
