I will sure miss Bob. He was funny, witty, and I loved talking to Bob about everything - from politics to cars to science. He loved talking about his grandshlidren. I will miss our Saturday conversations at the shop.

I will always remember Bob as a fun, talented, vibrant person - and as one of my Dad's best friends. His singing and guitar playing are the soundtrack to some of my fondest cottage memories. Bob inspired Jeff to learn to play the guitar.

I'm sorry we couldn't be at the funeral, but please accept our deepest sympathies at this difficult time. We will never forget Bob.

Dear Stefanie and Aunt Mary,
I miss Uncle Bob already. Your house was a second home to me while growing up, and Uncle Bob was always a welcoming host, ready to offer anything, from advice to snacks to doing my taxes. I admired him very much; he was hilarious, enjoyed a spirited debate, he could fix anything and was a good cook too. He was a wonderful Grandpa to Gillian and Liam, and I know they will cherish their memories always.

I am especially grateful for the last family sing-along, just last July 2010, when he got his guitar from the car upon request and belted out the tunes in my living room after my own father's funeral.  It was just what we all needed.

May you find comfort in the coming weeks and months and years, in each other and in your memories. We are here for you.

Tom and I were sorry to hear of Bob's passing.  Our affiliation with him goes back to Bob's Transport Canada days and the creation of Ultracom.

I want to thank you again for the phone call.  I know it was a hard thing to do and I very much appreciate it.  
I have been through a gamut of emotions since your call including beating myself up not staying in closer touch.  I think back to the years that I worked with Bob and remember them as some of the most rewarding in my career.  Rewarding because of the people I met and the things I learned.  
Bob was an advisor, teacher, role model and friend.  I will miss him.  I can only imagine your grief.  You have my greatest sympathy.

Dear Mary: I am deeply saddened to hear of Bob's passing.  I recall the first time we met at the cottage when we all  went out that first time together at the cottage for a "night on the town" in Barry's Bay and Stephanie babysat Jennaya and Carey.  It was the beginning of a great friendship. Bob was the best Master of Ceremonies at our wedding and I treasure that memory.  Bob made any occasion special with his singing and infectious laugh.  No One could sing Roy Orbison like Bob. I remember Bob playing owimbaway at our "Annual ski weekend" with all of us jumping on Maurices bed and singing our hearts out.I remember our bridge games and fun times we spent together. Bob was an entertainer, passionate, intelligent man who will be greatly missed.  He is probably having a drink and singing with Roy and Cheryl as I write this.  Bob is not really gone as I have the great memories of our times together.  I know the Bean and Liam were the "apple of his eye".  I am sorry I cannot be in Ottawa for the funeral and to give you a big hug Mary.  I hope we talk soon.  Love Always Pamela

My sincere condolences on your loss. Bob and I began our friendship over 10 years ago while working together at EDC. We have enjoyed many debates and discussions over the years, solving life's problems of every type. I'll miss our get-togethers.

Mary and family, I met Bob as part of a lunch group at Place du Portage. I enjoyed his conversation  immensely. We shared hundreds of lunch hours over the years. With his intelligent wit and talented ways we solved almost all of the world's problems and issues in barely an hour each day.  Funny,well spoken and great company are qualities found in too few.  It was my pleasure to know him and I will miss him.
