Il était fils de feu Percy Denis et de feu Albertine Laveau. Il laisse dans le deuil la femme de ses enfants: Patricia Monuk (McCarthy) ainsi que sa partenaire bien-aimée Pierrette Giroux. Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants chéris : René, feu Michel, Joanne (Léo Dupuis), Suzanne (Jean-François Deschênes) et Rachelle (Wayne McCoshen). Il laisse aussi ses petits-enfants bien-aimés: Stefan, André, Chantal, Daniela, Melissa, Léo Jr, Daniel, Rebecca, Sam, Ryan, Raymond, Robyn et Renée, et aussi son arrière petite fille Mirabelle. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses beaux-enfants: Joanne, Alain, Lyne, Brigitte, Luc et Julie ainsi que ses beaux petits-enfants: Natalie et Manon. Puis, il laisse ses beaux arrières petits-enfants: Leann, Anthony, Summer et Patrick. Il laisse également ses soeurs: Irene et Madeleine et ainsi que plusieurs nièces, neveux, amis et filleul(e)s. Il fut prédécédé par ses parents, son fils, son frère Rémi (Sonny pour les intimes), sa soeur Yvette et sa petite fille Rose.
Raney était retraité. Il a travaillé chez la monnaie royale canadienne pendant de nombreuses années. Son travail fut grandement apprécié pendant ses nombreuses années.
La famille désire remercier Pierrette, sa tendre partenaire pour sa gentillesse et son amour pour lui. La famille voudrait remercier également la merveilleuse équipe à Revera Windsor Park , mention spéciale au docteur Farey et les infirmières ; Alyza, Luciennne, Maria, etc. ainsi que les préposés aux soins : Jingkie et autres, et les soignants CCAC.
Une période de condoléance précédera le service à 12h15. Le service aura lieu le vendredi 18 décembre à 13h15 en la chapelle chez Racine, Robert & Gauthier, 180 chemin Montréal, Ottawa, Ontario. Suivant le service, un enterrement aura lieu dans l’intimité familiale.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the late Raney Dennis born René Denis, also known as Léon. He passed away on December 9, 2020, at the age of 88 years old.
He was the beloved son of the late Percy Denis and the late Albertine Laveau. He leaves in sorrow the mother of his children Patricia Monuk (McCarthy) and his beloved partner Pierrette Giroux. He leaves in sorrow his loved children René, late Michel, Joanne (Léo Dupuis), Suzanne (Jean-Francois Deschênes), and Rachelle (Wayne McCoshen). He also leaves in sorrow his lovely grandchildren Stefan, André, Chantal, Daniela, Melissa, Léo Jr, Daniel, Rebecca, Sam, Ryan, Raymond, Robyn, and Renée. He will also leave his great-grandchild Mirabelle. He also leaves his stepchildren; Joanne, Alain, Lyne, Brigitte, Luc, and Julie. He leaves in sorrow his step-grandchildren Natalie and Manon as well as his step-great-grandchildren Leann, Anthony, Summer, and Patrick. He will also leave his sister Irene and Madeleine as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and Godchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, his son, his brother Rémi (Sonny for close friends), his sister Yvette and his grand daughter Rose.
Raney was retired. He worked for the Royal Canadian Mint for many years. His work was greatly appreciated during those many years.
The family wishes to thank Pierrette, his loving partner, for her kindness and her love for him. The family would also like to thank the wonderful team at Revera Windsor Park, special mention to Dr. Farey and the nurses; Alyza, Lucienne, Maria, etc. as well as the PSW’s : Jingkie and others, and CCAC caregivers.
A period of condolence will precede the service at 12:15 p.m. The service will take place on Friday, December 18 at 1:15 p.m. in the chapel at Racine, Robert & Gauthier's, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa, Ontario. Following the service, a burial will take place in the privacy of the family.
