He was the beloved husband of Rhonda (Harrison Davis), father of Isabel Gram (Kenny), Taylor (Dr. Nikki Van der Wal) and Connor (Branden Laforest Davis) and grandfather of Lily and Everly Gram. He also leaves behind his sister, Nancy Cuffari (Charles), his niece Alison Cuffari (Dennis Kisyk) and his nephew Dan Cuffari (Rachel).
Paul held a Masters Degree in Sociology and Communications as well as a graduate degree in Journalism. He was the co-founder, President and CEO of MyGroceryDeals.com / Shopliftr.com. He was very proud of his business accomplishments and was highly committed to the company.
Before Shopliftr.com, Paul was co-founder of In-Touch Survey Systems and worked at In-Touch from 1992 - 2004. Prior to that time, he was a senior partner in two of Ottawa’s largest communications firms, Currie-Irving Advertising and Interact Communications.
Paul was a tremendously dedicated father and husband. He was so very proud of his children, their achievements and the life partners they have all chosen. Paul will be remembered as a generous man, almost to a fault. He could never say no to his children, his wife or even his little dog Dusty. He was very witty with a great sense of humour, joking with his wife until just days before his passing.
Paul’s favourite place in the world was his family cottage in Gananoque, where he loved to relax and read, overlooking the beautiful scenery of the St Lawrence River. He was an avid sports fan and was loyal to his favourite team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. Paul was also an athlete in his younger years, playing football, basketball, tennis and golf. He was a lover of 60’s music and romantic comedies.
Paul’s family will be forever grateful for the exemplary care and support of Dr. Caroline McGuinty and her team at the Ottawa Heart Institute and his most dedicated and favourite nurse Cassandra of Bayshore Community Health Services, who was a compassionate, professional and skilled caregiver.
Due to the pandemic and public health restrictions, a private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
Donations in memory of Paul can be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
