Passed away on March 31st 2017 at the age of 70 surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Daughter of the late Alfred Ladouceur and the late Blanche Labonté. She leaves in sorrow her loving son Jan Rupar (Alyssa Thurston), her adored grandson Marek. Dear sister of Huguette Fournier (late Georges), Dolores, Paul (Perri-Anne), Louis (Carolle), Guy (Laurie Stewart), Pierre (Louise Wanczycki), Marc (Suzanne Veilleux), Josette Grandbois (Denis). She also leaves many nephews, nieces and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers André (Francine) and Jacques (Sally Chapleau). Michelle was passionate about helping others and a dedicated teacher who spent a large part of her career teaching French at Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School. The family would like to thank Dr. Lisa Cross, the Central West Hospice and all the medical staff that took care of her. Family and friends are invited to Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home Chapel (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa) on Thursday April 6th 2017 at 2 p.m. for a Memorial Service, followed by a reception from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. to share stories of Michelle's life. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and Hospice Care Ottawa would be appreciated.
