It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mary Louise Riviere (nee Deming), on April 8, 2021 and the age of 97 years young.
Mary was the youngest daughter of Thomas Wilson and Elizabeth Bernadette (Etta) Stewart-Deming (nee Stewart), born and raised in the Ottawa Valley. She married Donald Reginald Taylor and is survived by two sons: Lewis and Gregory.
Mary Louise was widowed in 1970. Mary Louise met and married Stanley C. Riviere in 1973. Together they started an adventure that led from Belleville, Ontario to Yellowknife, NWT and finally settled in Oxford Mills for their golden years.
Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stanley Riviere; her parents: Thomas Wilson Deming and Elizabeth Bernadette (Etta) Stewart-Deming; her siblings: Mary Eileen Deming, Doris Deming and Stewart Deming. She is survived by her sons: Lewis (Sharon) and Greg (Heather) and step-daughter Alison (Henry) Coman; her grandchildren: Christopher, Katherine, John, Tim, Cassandra and Victoria.
A celebration of life and graveside service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MS Society of Canada.
