Mary Catherine Brennan

July 20, 1916 – June 10, 2011

Passed away peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2011 at St. Patrick’s Home in her 95th year, surrounded by her loving family. Born the only child of the late Agnes Hogan and John Gannon. Mary was the beloved wife of Victor Brennan who predeceased her in 1967 at the age of 59. Loving Mom of Lorna (Alvin Mahoney), Irvin (Carolyn Nesbitt), Eleanor (Roger Simard) and the late Mervin (Dec, 1, 2008,) ( Shirley Mulcahey). She was the precious Granny to Stephanie, Stephen, Kim, Kerry, Bradley and Tyler. Predeceased by granddaughter, Shelley, June 23, 2005. She also leaves 14 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff and clergy of St. Patrick’s Home, Mary’s home for the past 7 years, and are forever grateful for the exceptional care that she received. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Patrick’s Home would be greatly appreciated. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 14, from 5-9 p.m. at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, (at Albion Road) and on Wednesday after 10 a.m. at St. Martin’s Church, Martindale, QC, followed by Mass at 11 a.m. Interment parish Cemetery.
