Mrs. Mary Avery

Passed away peacefully at Saint Patrick’s Home on Saturday October 6, 2018 at the age of 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Jack Avery. Dearly loved mother of Garry (Claudette), Jane, Andy, MaryAnne (Miles), and Sue. Cherished Granny to Michael, Cheryl, Amanda, Steve, Conor, David, Katherine, Scott and Grace. Great Granny to Matthew, Jack, Robyn, Madison, Isla, Kaius, Alora, Anna, Claire and Forrest. Dear sister of Lila Chamberlain (the late Ronnie) and Walter (Alma). Predeceased by brothers Victor, Bernard, Norbert, Vincent, Jack, Gerard, Tom, Francis (Florence) and Ray (Norma). Friends and family may pay their respects at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, on Wednesday October 10, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass Thursday at 10 am in Saint Patrick’s Basilica (220 Kent Street). Interment Beechwood Cemetery. Mary was a resident of St. Patrick’s Home for 15 years. The family wish to express their gratitude and thanks to Dr. Lauder, Dr Fung, Sr. Geraldine Daly and all the care givers that cared for her over the years. She loved them all.
