At the Ottawa General Hospital, at the age of 70, on Monday, February 14, 2011 after a long battle with emphysema. Predeceased by her parents Claudia St-Amour and Thomas Mayer, her sisters Françoise Corneau, Claudette Jacques, Marie-Jeanne Pilon and Gertrude Larabie, and her brother Wilfred Mayer. She leaves behind her husband Robert J. Armstrong, her two sons Steven Armstrong and Robert C. Armstrong (Robin Barkley), three grandchildren Kira, Ricky and Cody, and her sister Thérèse Periard.
