Peacefully at Montfort Hospital on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of the late Colleen Wingle. Predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Molly Ethier, his sisters Molly Baker (Stewart) and Mae Cane (Ernest), and his brothers Alfred (June) and Bernie (Shirley). Survived by his sister, Rose Dobie (Mike), and brothers Dave (Robyn), George (Sharon), Edward, Donald (Anne), and Robert, and by his many nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (180 Montreal Road) on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Hope Cemetery, 4600 Bank Street, with the burial of his ashes to follow. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. A reception will follow the burial at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road).
