I'm so terribly saddened to hear of Joanne's passing. I had the honour of working with Joanne for a short time at Health Canada. She was an absolutely wonderful, kind and genuine woman. So happy and full of life. One of a kind. I feel blessed for having known her. Joanne's attitude and outlook on life had a positive impact on everyone she interacted with. So so sad to bid farewell to Joanne today. I spent my university years with her, and then met her occasionally over the years.I have 2 candles burning all day as a vigil to celebrate her life: one for her generous love and one for her charming innocence. She lives on in our hearts.
