Special thanks to the palliative staff at Elisabeth Bruyère Hospital for the kindness and care in Joan's final days. To nurses Heather McGrath and Andrea Fisher, our gratitude for your friendship and professional care throughout Joan's battle with cancer over the past two years. To nurse Trudy Kelly: words can't possibly express how much Joan and her family treasured and valued your friendship and support over the past dozen years or so. Joan's path was not always an easy one, but she could always count on you to help her stay true to herself.
Joan was kind and loving and will be missed.
A private service is being held for Joan.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ottawa Humane Society in Joan's name would be greatly appreciated.
