After many years of ill-health, Hugh died on June 19, 2017. Dearly loved husband of 51 years of Sandra, and father of David (Jackie) and Liese (Rick); beloved Papa of Callum and Hope; Erin, Euan and Orla; and Opa of Ashley. Pre-deceased by his parents, Gilbert and Agnes Bruff (nee Emslie), and brothers Bert, John and James. Many thanks to Dr. Leonard Bloom, the staff at the General Hospital (5 NE and 7 E) for medical care; and to the staff and friends at Hunt Club Manor. Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, on Friday, June 23 from 6-9 pm and Saturday, June 24 from 10-11 am followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 11 am. Donations in Hugh’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
