Elizabeth Léger

Beloved wife of Michel Léger for 65 years. Adored mother of Michel Léger, Anne Charter (Ronald Charter), Marie Léger (Gilles Boisvert), Catherine Mahoney, Grégoire Léger (Jennifer Tomaro). Cherished grandmother of Charmaine Brennan, Philippe Léger, Matthew Léger, David Charter, Deanna Charter, (deceased), Wendy Charter (deceased), Francois Blais, Christine Blais, Theresa Mahoney and Hannah Léger. Beloved great grandmother of nine.

She was predeceased by her siblings, George, James, John, Peter, William, Bernard, Sister Mary Harris, Sister Helen Harris, Margaret O’Donnell.

The family would like to thank the staff of Belcourt Manor in Orleans for the excellent care provided to Elizabeth.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday April 11, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa.

A funeral Mass will be held on April 12, 2023 at 11:30 at Divine Infant Church, 6658 Bilberry Drive, Orleans.

Elizabeth was a pious woman who was kind-hearted, generous, strong, loving and fiercely devoted to her family. She always put others first and truly loved caring for all the children in the family. She was a role model to all who met her for the simple goodness she exuded. She will be sorely missed, but will live on in the hearts of all who met her. May she find peace with the Lord
