I knew Denton for a number of years, was his navigator for a number of car rallys when we were both members of the Motor Sport Club of Ottawa. Great driver …. excelled in rain, snow and ice. 
When I showed up at his house with my new ’77 Honda 4 Denny was impressed with how quiet it was at idle compared to Brit bikes. 
Lost touch with him in the last 3 years and only recently learned sadly that he is gone.

Denton was a great friend for many years with clever ideas for every challenge he found.  A motorcyclist with amazing  natural talent, winner of back to back Canadian Motorcycle Championships in road racing. Was later invited to ride BSAs in the USA for the American BSA importer at Nutely, New Jersey.  Very successful in several important American races such as Daytona and Laconia.
  Denton loved being close to nature in the outdoors especially if canoes were involved.  He lived an interesting life pursuing scores of various challenges and was a valuable source of accurate information. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him well. RIP good buddy. Like the song says, "He did things his way"!

I Cherished my time spent with Denton. From bicycle rides to downtown Ottawa, climbing the ranger tower at Luskville falls, ham radio field day at the Gatineau Park lookout and the trips to Dayton, Ohio Ham Fest. He was a whiz at electronics. We even took a keen interest in the stock market and one of his quotes was in the inside book called Miningthemarket by Morris I Bubbis. Lots of many more great memory's R.I.P. Don Dawson/Ve2ud 

Sending our deepest condolences to Linda and Denton's friends and family at this sad time. Denton amassed a huge collection of friends over a long and very active life. He will be remembered by these friends for many exciting reasons for he always had ideas for new projects. His life story would provide  wonderful material for an action movie except few could believe all he attempted to do.  From riding a motorcycle from Canada to New Mexico and back in the 1950s to winning back to back Canadian  Motorcycle Roadracing Championships in the later1950s ! He even won several big races at famous American tracks.  Whenever friends faced a challenge, calling Denton was the first thing to do. He lived a quiet life recently but remained a wonderful friend who always did things his way! Thanks for sharing your friendship and adventures for over 60 year! RIP

Uncle Denton, it saddens me to write this farewell, it means I can’t pick up the phone and spend an hour or two discussing the latest project or reminiscing about the many ways we shared our time together and how you helped shape my life. 
I can only say thank-you to one of my oldest and dearest friends…
You lived your life your way,..thanks for sharing it with us!

Good Nigh Denny.

Thanks for the good times in early grade school to late old school. For the many rides on the B.M.W.  For the good camaradery and fun parties we all had at "THE CABIN". Too bad "the bomb" is not around anymore. It would have made a fine hearse!

Dear Linda and Denton's Family
Our hearts are sadden with your loss of Denton. The many years we have known you both we cherished your  friendship. Our world will not be the same without him being with us. He was a one of a kind individual and we loved him for his unique personality and his willingness to share his broad base of knowledge to everyone. We also know it will be hard to establish a new life without him, but we think he would expect everyone to go on living a live of happiness.
