Peacefully at Billingswood Manor in Ottawa on December 22, 2014 at the age of 93 years. Predeceased by his eldest son James. Dear father of Jo-Ann and John. Loving grandfather of Maja.Following his career in education, David contributed generously to the Ottawa community - volunteering at St. Patrick's Home, the Ottawa Rehabilitation Centre, and the Ottawa Hospital (General Campus), to name a few. Special thanks to the staff of Billingswood Manor for their care and compassion. Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 11 am to 12 noon with a Celebration of Life to be held in the chapel at 12 noon.
