It is with great sadness that the family of Claude Giroux announce his sudden passing on August 25, 2022, at the age of 84. He leaves in deep sorrow his beloved wife of 64 years, Louise (Vermette); his daughters, Christine (Pierre Piché) and Sylvie (Normand Gravel); his grandchildren, André, Véronique and Elyse; his great-grandsons, Jérémy, Maxime, Jayden, Nicholas and Wesley; as well as many nieces, nephews, family relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Philorum Giroux and Ernestine Brault, and his half-sister, Jeanette (Roy-Charette).
At Claude’s request, a private family memorial will follow at a later date, and asked to be remembered by his life motto, that “the world belongs to the living”.
Memorial donations in Claude’s name may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).
