Peacefully, at West End Villa on January 16, 2014 after a wonderful life filled with the joys of family. Beloved wife of the late Philip Murray and mother of Margaret Herbert (Tom), Philip, Peter (Jane), Leonard and Deirdre Dare (Patrick). Devoted grandmother to Katherine (Chris), Jeffrey (Aleks), Brendan, James, Erin, Matthew, Samuel, Sarah, Jane Anne and Emily. Dear sister to Phyllis, Elizabeth, Myrtle, Pauline, Zena, Samuel (deceased) and Aileen (deceased). Cherished aunt to many nephews and nieces in England, New Zealand and North America. Anne Hyndman was born on January 11, 1922 in Bracebridge, Ont. Her family lived in Ireland during the Great Depression and she returned to Canada in the 1950s with her husband, living first in Toronto, then Ottawa, where Philip worked as a patent engineer for the federal government and Anne raised five wonderful children and worked for the Victorian Order of Nurses. In retirement, she spoiled her family with her wonderful home cooking and enjoyed travels to visit family abroad. Visitation will be Tuesday between 2 and 4 p.m. and 7 and 9 p.m. at McEvoy and Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road. Funeral Mass will be held at St. George’s Catholic Church, 415 Piccadilly Ave. Ottawa at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22.
