Jerry Leo Simpkins

Jerry Leo Simpkins, age 66, of Othello, Washington, passed away September 5, 2014, at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Washington. He was born in Caldwell, Idaho on April 1, 1948 to parents Leo and Maxine Simpkins. Jerry graduated from Royal City High School in 1966. He was married to Debora (Hale) Simpkins on May 24, 1996 in Winnemucca, Nevada. Jerry worked in Construction for many years until he injured his back in 2007. He was forced to retire, so he pursued his love of hunting and fishing. He was an avid outdoors man. He was a member of Eagles Lodge 3396. He will be dearly missed. He was survived by his wife, and step-daughter, Rachele (Sean) Kendrick of Denver, Colorado, daughter Michelle (Mike) Garrettson of Yakima, Washington, sister, Tamara (Tony) Parish of Sublimity, Oregon, brother Richard Simpkins of Portland, Oregon, and three grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Friday, September 12, 2014, at the Eagles Lodge 3396.
